Andrew Haynes Commits to NCAA Raiders
Congratulations to the Haynes family on their son Andrew's recent scholarship opportunity to attend Shippensburg University in ‎Pennsylvania. Andrew (RHP) will suit up for the Raiders next fall and major in Biology Health Professions in pre- chiropractic along with a minor in exercise sciences. Andrew was an honor student in high school.

Andrew has been training at The Baseball Zone under Ryan Armstrong for the past two years. Before ‎joining the Terriers this past season Andrew was named to the EBLO All-Star team. In his first fall in the blue and gold he made quite an impression on the mound‎ with an outstanding win in New Jersey and a one hitter in Boston at the end of September.

Andrew's fast ball sits in the mid 80's. He is also armed with a sharp curve and a change-up.

Shippensburg University was founded in 1871 and sits on a scenic 200 acre campus. The Raiders compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, NCAA D II.

The Raiders were 28-24 this past season and had two players selected in the MLB June draft. Their schedule takes them through North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania for PSAC games and the conference championship.

The Terriers organization wishes Andrew continued success for the balance of his time in the program and the best of luck with his academic and athletic career at Shippensburg.
