Terriers Take 3 Of 4 From Oakville
The Junior Terriers had a successful weekend against the Oakville Royals, winning 3 of 4 games. After dropping the first game 9-7 on Saturday at Ireland Park in Burlington, the Juniors swept the 3 remaining games. The Terriers won game 2 easily by a 15-5 score. Saturday saw the Juniors bang out 24 hits in the two games. At Riverside Park on Sunday the Royals jumped out to 4-0 lead after the top half of the first inning.

The Terriers battled back, however and tied the game at 4-4 before taking the lead in the bottom of the 6th scoring 3 runs, making the final 7-4. The backend of the doubleheader started the same way with the Royals taking a 2-0 lead after the first inning. The Juniors would once again play catch up and take a 6-3 lead. Oakville threatened in the top of the 7th, but closer Brendan Hutchings induced a game ending double play. 6-3 was the final. The Junior Terriers wrap their fall schedule this weekend when they take on the Toronto Mets in the re-scheduled final of the Brawl in the Fall Tournament Friday night at Bond Park. Game time is 7:30 pm.
