RHP Sammy Turcotte was outstanding through four innings of work in a 9-0 Terriers win on Saturday in St.

Petersbourg. Turcotte struck out five and allowed just one hit. Bailey Hantzakos rounded out the work on the mound to preserve the shutout. He struck out two. There was plenty of offense to go around as Mason Falbo, Daito Kojima and Grant Okawa all had two hits and two RBIs each. Jake Sims, Tyler Valiquette, James Diflorio and Tak Tsusaki all chipped in with a hit each. Game one of the DH ended in a dramatic 6-6 tie. With two out in the bottom of the seventh and trailing by a run Grant Okawa walked and then stole second base. Mason Falbo was next in and he would deliver a clutch single to tie the game. Mason also had a double in the contest. Hits by Dean Angelo, Daito Kojima and Sammy Turcotte rounded out the offense. * In 18u action, Terriers Gold Saturday afternoon game ended in a 4-4 tie with Faith Baptist (FL). Will Prowse got the start and worked three innings. He struck out two. Will was relieved by Hayden Waselynchuk who went four shutout innings. He had two strikeouts and walked just one. On offense Garrett Jewel and Kyle MacDonald both had two hits and an RBI. Andrew Lonsdale, Nick Wideman and Matthew Plut each singled in this well played game.
