Submitted By Dan Thompson on Tuesday, August 23, 2016
Coming off a big 10-5 victory on Monday night the SR Terriers squeaked out a 4-3 win Tuesd‎ay at Diamond Nation in New Jersey.

They will now compete in the next round beginning Wednesday afternoon. LHP Carter‎ Seabrooke recorded the complete game win in this nail biter over the Park Colonials (NJ). Carter struck out 2 and walked just 1. He allowed four hits. The Terriers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when Dreyden Sloat's booming RBI double down the right field line scored Jeremie Veilleux who had walked. In the bottom half of the inning the Colonials mounted a huge threat by loading the bases with nobody out, but Seabrooke pitched around it, inducing a double play started by third baseman Andre Campbell. Carter then got a routine fly ball to center field to escape the inning. ‎With the score tied 1-1 in the fourth the Colonials took the lead with an ugly run in the bottom half of the inning. It was short lived however, as with Andre Campbell and Owen Maize aboard Connor Humphrey delivered a clutch two RBI double to the gap in left to put the Terriers ahead 3-2. They added an insurance run in the seventh on a Dreyden Sloat sac fly RBI, scoring Brandon Job who had doubled earlier in the inning. Right hander Ben Abram gets the ball on Wednesday.
