Submitted By Dan Thompson on Saturday, February 11, 2017
Terriers catcher Jeremie Veilleux ‎will be off to Slippery Rock University this fall.

He committed to the NCAA D2 Rock program this past week. In addition to his outstanding baseball abilities, Jeremie is also a high school honour roll student with a sparkling 3.96 GPA. He will be studying Accounting at SRU. Jeremie has an undeniable desire to succeed at every aspect of the game. ‎He loves to be coached and has a willingness to work at tactics and techniques that are outside of his comfort zone. Over the past four years in the program Jeremie has consistently elevated his game culminating in this great opportunity he has earned to attend SRU. Beyond his Terriers accomplishments Jeremie has also garnered a high school baseball MVP award, was selected to the 2016 Ontario Youth Team and had the opportunity to compete in Oklahoma at the prestigious JR Sunbelt tournament. Slippery Rock University was founded in 1889 and is a member of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education. It is located in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania and is home to more than 8,500 students. The campus is situated in the borough of Slippery Rock in Butler County, a safe and friendly community of about 3,500 people. The Rock compete in the PSAC West Conference where they play 30 in conference games. In addition, their non-conference schedule winds through Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina. Since 1986 The Rock have compiled a very impressive 937- 594 - 5 (.612) record. Congratulations to Jeremie and the entire Veilleux family on this outstanding accomplishment.
