2019 John Jepson Award Winners Announced
As a small nod in the direction of our late and dear friend, John Jepson, The Terriers Baseball organization is naming a player from each of its teams to receive an award in his honour on an annual basis beginning in the 2019 season. As anyone associated with baseball in this neck of the woods knows, JJ’s love of the game of amateur baseball extended far beyond the box scores and lineup sheets.

John was the ultimate father figure to every boy, coach, parent, administrator or anyone else he dealt with and made us all better for the experience of knowing him and being guided by him.

Losing JJ last October after a courageous battle with cancer was a terrible blow to us all and to help keep him front and centre in our minds for years to come we are proud to name the following Terrier recipients of the first annual John Jepson award. These players were chosen by their coaches as the young men who best exemplified the qualities that John admired most and shared with us every day:

- Generosity of spirit
- Being a great teammate
- Sportsmanship
- Dedication to improvement
- Academic achievement

This year’s winners are:

15U team - Brayden Makowich
16U team - Evan Farrell
17U team – Liam Carey
18U team – Zach Marriott

Congratulations gentlemen. We are sure John would be proud of each of you.

Sincerely,

Terriers Management
