Stephen Phillips Commits to Ventura College
Stephan Phillips ‎will be taking his big right-handed frame to Ventura college in California next year.  Stephen committed to the Pirates baseball program this past week.

Ventura College was established in 1925.  The 112-acre campus, 60 miles north of Los Angeles  is home to over 14,000 students.

Stephen's accomplishments over the past few years include a gold medal in Moncton at the 2018 Canada Cup, a trip to Oklahoma to compete at the highly competitive Junior Sunbelt Tournament and the ECSS Award honour for excellence with character success through sport.

He was also named MVP of his HS baseball team and garnered a Most Sportsmanlike Player Award with the Vaughan Vikings before joining the Terriers.

The Pirates are members of the California Community College Athletic Association or CCCAA.

They were 26-17 last season, eventually falling to Long Beach, two games to one in the CCCAA Regional.

Congratulations to the Phillips family, and best of luck to Stephen on the west coast.
