2021 College Baseball Season Winding Down
Here is a rundown of how Terrier alumni are closing out the 2021 college baseball campaign. 

The University of Jamestown Jimmies wrapped with a 30-23‎ record. They were eliminated this past week in GPAC conference play by Doane University. In 53 games, Grant Okawa hit an impressive .304 with six homers and 19 RBI.

Erie Community College swept the best of three playoffs from Cayuga CC on the weekend. ‎In 12-1 and 11-10 victories, AJ Karasos was 2-4 in game one and 3-5 in game two with an RBI triple. AJ is hitting .386 with a .491 OB% and a .591 SLG%The Kats have advanced to the NJCAA Region III tournament in Little Falls, NY. 

Niagara County Community College is 27-8 overall. Outfielder Nolan Gallo has a .211 average, a .400 OB%, and has swiped two bases. The TWolves are headed for their conference tournament‎.

The Cornerstone University Golden Eagles finished the year with a 19-17 record after losing to NW Ohio in the WHAC conference tournament. Daniel Freeman concluded his freshman year with a .245 average, a .561 OB%, and a .304 SLG%

‎The NU Purple Eagles are 17-13 in the MAAC. Catcher Joe Tevlin has an outstanding .990 FLD% with 90 putouts. He is hitting .353 and has a .412 SLG%

The Oklahoma Sooners are 24-22 but only 8-10 in the BIG12.  6'7" RHP Ben Abram has appeared in 11 games and thrown 24 innings. Opponents are hitting just .247 off Ben. The Sooners have two crucial conference series‎ left in the season, one with Texas Tech before closing it out with Baylor.

VCU has won 16 straight and is 32-14 overall. Lefty Campbell Ellis is having a brilliant freshman year with a 5-1 record and a 2.74 ERA. VCU is headed for its conference tournament in the coming weeks.

RHP Sam Turcotte has helped lead the Stony Brook Seawolves to a 23-14 record. They are 19-7 in the America East, and Sam has been Head Coach Matt Senk's go-to Friday night starter most of the year. Sam has logged a team-leading 56.2 innings and sports a sparkling 2.54 ERA. Opponents are hitting only .231 off Turcotte.

The St. Lawrence University Saints are 11-11. Catcher Cristian Forgione is hitting .274 with 13 RBI, 6 doubles, a triple, and a homer.

Zach Marriott put up excellent freshman year numbers for the Hendrix Warriors (11-21). Zach had a .851 OPS and hit .297. He smacked 2 home runs and had 12 RBI.
