Chad Marshall Awarded Scholarship To Stony Brook University
Just like he has with so many balls hit his way over the past year, as the Terriers shortstop, Chad Marshall made his biggest catch of all this past weekend, snagging a baseball scholarship with the Stony Brook Seawolves(NCAA Division1).

Chad's strong play at the Blue Chips Prospects Tournament two weeks ago (7 for 11, 0 errors, 9 putouts) impressed head coach Matt Senk. This was the icing on the cake for what was an incredible year for the Terriers MVP. After a winter of relentless hard work, Chad got off to a brilliant start offensively and defensively in Ft. Lauderdale on the Terriers March Break trip vs college competition. His tremendous play continued throughout the PBLO season. Chad made good on 133 of 136 chances defensively, a staggering .978 fielding percentage! Chad was also the team sparkplug with the bat, hitting in the lead-off spot, leading the team in average, on base percentage and runs scored. The summer schedule brought more of the same stellar play from Marshall, as he anchored the Terriers infield to the 18u Sandlott World Series Championship. Chad's summer was not done yet though, as he was also a member of the Ontario Youth Team, that captured the Gold Medal at the Canada Cup National Championship in Medicine Hat, Alberta. What a year for a Chad and his family! It's not all about baseball for Chad though,as he is also an excellent student. His desire to study sciences made Stony Brook an enviable destination for Chad.
