Brent Mitchell And Brad Furdal Selected To Junior National Team Spring Training In Orlando
Brent Mitchell's relentless work ethic and desire to compete is paying dividends as his dream of donning the Maple Leaf will come true in a few weeks when he attends training camp with Canada's National Junior Team. Brent's dedication to the strength and conditioning program, his countless hours of batting practice all winter and the fact that he caught bullpen after bullpen for the Terriers pitching staff to prepare them for the teams March Break trip, has also helped him earn this honour.

Brent had an excellent trip south in March against Junior College competition. Brent does not turn 17 until June! His defense was outstanding, especially his ability to throw runners out. He hit in the three hole for the majority of the trip and was a tough out every at bat. Congratulations Brent on your selection to the Junior National Team training camp. RHP Brad Furdal joins the National Junior Team for the second time round, as he was selected for the first time last fall. Brad consistantly retired hitters during the Terriers fall 2006 college tour and continued to do so during the 2007 March Break trip to south Florida. Armed with an 85MPH+ fastball and above average off speed pitches, Brad will be a force to be reckoned with this season in the PBLO. Congratulations Brad! The tandem will spend 11 days at the Disney Wild World of Sports complex in Orlando, where they will practice and play extended spring training MLB teams such as the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians.
