Terriers Romp Over Badgers
Submitted By Dan Thompson on Wednesday, May 16, 2007
The Terriers bashed 14 hits in a 10-0 victory Wednesday night in London. Backed by the 2 hit pitching of right hander Brad Furdal the Terriers extended their modest winning streak to 3 games. No Badger runner reached third base as Furdal dominated through his 79 pitch performance. Lefty Nathan Linseman threw to the final 5 hitters striking out 4. The Terriers opened the scoring in the third inning when youngster Joel Stubbs led off with a double down the left field line.

SS Chad Marshall followed with an infield single advancing Joel to third CF Terrell Alliman then counted two RBIs with a double down the third base line. The game was 3-0 after four when Jeff Hunt who had doubled scored on a red hot Stubbs RBI. The Terriers tacked on two more runs in the 5th when Marty Chasles scored on a single by DH Matt Loughridge. 1B, Jeff Hunt then doubled scoring Jeff Skelhorne-Gross who had singled. The onslaught continued in the 6th when Joel Stubbs led off with a walk and advanced on a Nathan Loehle single. Chad Marshall walked loading the bases. Marty Chasles was hit by a pitch scoring Stubbs. Next,2006 Milwaukee Brewers draft pick, Terrell Alliman came to the plate and counted an RBI with a sacrifice fly making the score 7-0. Perhaps the highlight of the night came when Jeff Skelhorne-Gross stepped in and hit a towering blast off the left field fence scoring Marshall and Chasles. Jeff Hunt cashed the 10th Terrier run when he hit his third double of the game easily scoring Skelhorne-Gross. The Dogs’ next action goes Holiday Monday at Riverside Park in Cambridge. It will be a double header starting at noon versus the Thunderbirds. Big right hander Mike Henry gets the ball in game one followed by slick lefty Nathan Linseman in game two.
