Loughridge, Marshall, Loehle And Burton Blast Off In Dh Sweep
After having their 16 game winning streak snapped Wednesday night the Terriers bounced back with two decisive wins on the road Saturday over the Royals. Home Runs by Matt Loughridge, Chad Marshall, Nathan Loehle and a Grand Slam by Brian Burton highlighted the offence in the 12-1 and 11-1 victories. The highlights however, were not only limited to the explosive bats, there were also several defensive gems by SS Chad Marshall, 2B Marty Chasles and 3b Jeff Hunt.

Starter in game one Nathan Linseman scattered just 3 hits in his complete game victory. Right hander Brad Furdal had the ball in game two, giving up just one hit. Steve Harley faced the minimum six batters in the 6th and 7th. In game one, Marty Chasles and Nathan Loehle had 3 RBIs each. Tyler Fischer, Brent Mitchell, Joel Stubbs, Jeff Hunt, Brian Burton and Jeff Skelhorne-Gross all had hits and RBIs. Burtons Grand Slam came in game two. Jeff Skelhorne-Gross had 2 hits as did Matt Loughridge, the second his towering Home Run that travelled well over 400 feet. Back home on Fathers Day at Dickson Park the Terriers will be hosting Minor baseball day. There will be several prize give a ways for the youngsters in attendance. Billy Martin starts game one and recent Cincinnati Reds draft pick Mike Henry has the ball in game two.
