Terriers Win Game One At World Series
In game one of the Sandlott World Series in Nashville, TN the Jr. Terriers won 6-0 over the Tennessee Hornets. Starting pitcher Lucas Scocchia threw a complete game 2 hit shutout striking out 11 Hornets and faced only two batters over the minimum. Scocchia also lead the Terriers offensive attack going 4 for 4 at the plate. The Jr. Terriers lead 1-0 going into the 6th inning when they blew the game wide open with 4 runs all with two out.

Adam Godo hit an rbi double scoring Austin Huibers who reached base on an error. Blair Gignac hit an rbi single to score Godo and stole second base. Brian Doran hit an rbi single to score Gignac and moved to 3rd base on a misplay by the Hornets centerfielder. Cole Peragine completed the rally with an rbi single. In the 7th inning, Gignac hit a sac fly to close out the scoring. Next up is a showdown against the Kalamazoo Maroons on Thursday at 10am.
