The 16U Terriers offense struck early and often en route to a decisive 13-2 vistory over the Murfreesboro Patriots Friday morning in Tennessee. Playing at the Patriots home field, the Terries jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on 4 hits. Blair Gignac, Brian Doran and Cole Peragine began the game with consecutive singles before Lucas Scocchia hit a towering double off the left field fence. The top of the second inning saw the Terriers put up 10 runs to give them a commanding 13-0 lead.

Doran and Peragine each picked up their second hits of the game while Jake Zuk and Brendan Hutchings picked up their first. At the end of it all, the Terriers sent 11 men to the plate. Austin Huibers started the game and pitched two solid innings, facing just seven batters without giving up any hits or runs. Matt Faulkner finished the final three innings and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. Doran finished the game 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's while Peragine was 3 for 3 with a walk and 2 RBI's of his own. Scocchia continues to swing a hot bat picking up another hit in the third inning. Adam Godo, Zuk, Hutchings and Gignac all had one RBI a piece. The Terriers now advance to the Quarter Finals on Saturday morning against the Franklin Mustangs.
