Mitchell Goes 3-5 In Fall World Series
Mobile, AL - Former Terrier Catcher, Brent Mitchell has entered his second year at the University of South Alabama and is making his presence felt in the programs annual Fall World Series.

The best of seven match up features the Jaguar team split up into two teams, Red and Blue. Team Blue took game one of the series, 6-5 on Sunday afternoon at Stanky Field. However, Team Red evened the series, propelled by Mitchell's 3-5 performance, in a thriling 12-11 come from behind win. In the fourth inning, the Paris, ON native ripped an RBI single, giving the Red team a 4-3 lead. Later in the game, with the Red team down two runs, Mitchell came up with runners on first and second and laced his second RBI single of the day to cut the lead to one run. Team Red would tack on eight runs in all in the inning. Mitchell is one of two Canadians on the Jaguar roster. He helped lead the Terriers to the Sandlott World Series title 2006 in Nashville, TN and was a member of Canadian Junior National Team. The World Series contiunes Thursday afternoon with game three.
