Matt Betts Spins Shutout
The Terriers continued their March Break trip Wednesday vs PBLO rival the Toronto Mets. Right hander Matt Betts went the distance in this extra inning (8) 3-0 victory.

Matt had Toronto hitters off balance all day, allowing only 4 hits. He struck out 5 and did not walk a batter nor did a Met reach third base. He was backed by solid defense from Brandon Dailey, Shawn Marshall, Blair Gignac and catcher Jordon Mountford. The game was scoreless through 7 innings, but the Terriers broke through in the top of the 8th with 3 runs. Graham Tebbit lead off with a single, then stole second on a delay. Shawn Marshall followed with a walk setting the table for a perfectly executed sac bunt up the first base line by Blair Gignac. Center fielder Christian Fearon stepped in next and laced a 2 RBI single right up the middle. He would later score on a Cole Peragine RBI to make the score 3-0. The Mets would go quietly in the bottom half of the 8th. The Terriers travel to Cocoa Beach Friday for a DH vs the Ontario Blue Jays.
