Srs Split Saturday Dh With Jays
Submitted By Dan Thompson on Friday, May 14, 2010
U of T Campus, Toronto After dropping game one 5-2 on Saturday morning, the Terriers roared back in game two with an 8-2 victory over the Ontario Blue Jays. Right hander Lucas Scocchia went five strong innings to record the win. He allowed just five hits, struck out three and walked only one. Ted Hall came on to pitch a perfect sixth and seventh. Trailing 2-1 after five innings, the Terriers would blow the game open with a five run outburst in the top of the sixth.

Mattingly Romanin got the rally started with a lead off walk. He advanced to second on a Simon Clarke single then Graham Tebbit followed with a walk to load the bases. Orion Katayama was next in and hit a sharp liner into left center field for a clutch RBI to tie the game. Blair Gignac and Cole Peragine put the Terriers ahead to stay with RBI singles of their own. Three more Terriers would cross in the inning for a 6-2 lead. After batting around in the sixth the Terriers tacked on two more insurance runs in the seventh. Orion Katayama was at it again with a two RBI single scoring Romanin and Tebbit. The 8-2 win moves the SR Terriers PBLO record to 8-4. Sunday's DH at Dickson Park in Cambridge will feature lefties Billy Ralston and Austin Huibers.
