Jr Terriers Split Saturday Dh With The Jays
Cambridge, ON After coming up short in game one with a 3-1 loss, the Jr Terriers dominated game two with a potent offensive attack and a stellar pitching performance by Barinder Rakkar. The offense came out ripping in the bottom of the first inning with singles by Turner Spears and Zach Choy followed by a massive 2 RBI double by clean up hitter Mark Wilush putting the Jr Dogs up 2-0 after one.

In the bottom of the third inning, the top of the order got things going once again with a lead off walk by Spears, a stolen base and a perfectly executed sac bunt by Choy. A couple of Jays defensive miscues plus singles by Pat Coughlin, catcher Adam Hoover and Brock Beirness put the Jr Terriers on top 6-0 after three innings of play. That was all the Jr Dogs needed as Rakkar was very strong on the bump pitching a complete game with 6K's and only one walk for the 6-2 victory. The Jr Terriers will continue their four game series with a DH against the Jays on Sunday at the U of T Varsity Blues Field starting at 2pm.
