Jr. Terriers Win Opener At World Series
Terriers beat home town Middle Tennessee Mud Cats 8-7 in their first game of the Sandlott World Series.
Terriers were led by a strong pitching performance from Travis Laitar who fought through a lapse by the defense.
At the plate the Terriers were led by Christian Fearon who went 2-4 with a double and 2 runs scored. Others who chipped in at the plate were Landon McLaren, Jacob Zilli and Paul Howarth each with 2 singles, Bruce Yari, Brock Bierness and Turner Spears provided the rest of the offense.
Terriers play 2 on Thursday against the first against the Worth Bulldogs and second against the Cincinnati Bulldogs.
