Srs Get Fall Season Off To Great Start!
The Terriers trounced the Lafleshe College Dragons (PQ) 10-1 in the opener of the Laurier Invitational Friday night. Lefty Jeremy McDonald got the start and went three strong innings, including lasting through a half hour rain delay.

He left the game with a 3-1 lead before handing the ball over to Eric Hall who would throw three solid innings of his own in the six inning mercy victory. Jordan Mountford got the offense going with a bases loaded three run triple into the right field corner for a 3-0 Terriers lead in the third. The Dragons answered with their only run of the game in the bottom half of the inning, but after tacking on a run in the fourth, the Terriers put it away with three runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth. Centerfielder Blair Gignac had two hits, two RBIs and a stolen base. Cole Peragine, Tom Byckowski (RBI), Brian Doran, and Simon Clarke (2 RBI) also all chipped in with hits. The SRs play the University of Toronto and Guelph University on Saturday. Lefty Adam Anderson will have the ball against the Blues while right hander Mike Clouthier goes against the Gryphons.
