Terriers Edge Brock University 5-4
The SR Terriers ran their record to a perfect 3 -0 with a 5-4 nail biter win over Brock University Sunday at the Laurier Invitational. Both teams were 2-0 going into the bitterly contested contest.
Mike Clouthier had the ball versus the nationally ranked OUAA Badgers. Mike weaved his way through five tough innings, battling hard versus the older competition.
On this day shortstop Cole Peragine (3 RBI) and leftfielder Nathan DeSouza ( 2 RBI) lead the way offensively.
Brian Doran had two hits, Mattingly Romanin and Jordan Mountford each added one.
Clinging to a one run lead in the sixth, Clouthier handed the ball over to lefty Steve Dressler, who armed with his nasty curve ball would strike out six Badger hitters to preserve the Terriers 5-4 victory.
