Matt Faulkner Commits To Wayne St. College In Nebraska
Congratulations to Terriers RHP Matt Faulkner who committed to Wayne State College (NCAA D2) this week. Matt throws strikes and gives his team the opportunity to win every time he toes the rubber. That, coupled with excellent mound presence and command of three pitches impressed Wayne State Wildcats Head Coach Brian Disch. Matt had numerous productive outings, and was argueably the Terriers best pitcher this past fall during their very competative schedule.

He consistantly competed at a high level in tournaments and versus college lineups. His positive attitude and desire to further develop will continue to make Matt an important cog in the Terriers pitching staff before landing on the Wildcat campus in August 2011. Wayne State College is located about 1.5 hours north of Omaha Nebraska. The attractive 128 acre campus features 22 buildings including 7 residence halls and is home to 4,000 students. The Wildcats are consistantly at the top of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Their 21-10 record in the NSIC was a conference best in 2010. They have won the conference 8 of the past 10 years and are traditionally ranked in the top 30 nation wide. Matt will be majoring in physical education, with a minor in exercise science at Wayne State. The entire Terriers organization congratulate Matt and his family and wish him the best of luck with his college endevours on and off the field.
