Terriers 17U Split Double Header With Florida Wi Academy (Seminole)
After dropping the first game of the twin bill on Sunday at Eckerd College the Terriers 17u team bounced back with a resounding 9-4 win in the nightcap. The junior squad opened the scoring in the first when Robert Grilli reached on an error and was later driven home by Travis Seabrooke’s double. In the third inning the 17’s added three more runs on singles by Travis Laitar, Travis Seabrooke, Matthew Beaton and a double by Aaron Loder.

Mike Morley (BB) and Nick Dimpfel (Sacrifice Fly) also contribute to the three run rally. In the very next inning the game was put out of reach when the Terriers exploded for five more runs. Doubles by Robert Grilli and Mike Morley and a triple by Seabrooke led the offensive outburst. Turner Spears, Matthew Beaton and Nick Dimpfel added singles during the extended fourth inning. Averey Bet-Payumo pitched four strong innings to get the win. Robert Grilli and Turner Spears pitched well in relief to close out the game.
