Kevin Lucas Leads 16U Terriers To Season Opening Win
With the Terriers already up 1-0 over the Ontario Blue Jays on Tyler Hardie’s base hit RBI single in the second inning, Kevin Lucas stepped in to the box, the first hitter in the 3rd inning and showing opposite field power hit the ball out of the park in left center. That started an offensive explosion that was led by Wes Siekris' double that emptied the bases that were loaded. Kyle Thalheimer followed Wes with an RBI single as the Terriers scored 5 in the third.

Hee Do Kim, Bruce Yari and Logan Stewart also chipped in with singles. The always reliable Justin Carroll started the game and went 4 complete keeping the Jays off balance while striking out 2 and allowing on 1 run on 4 hits. Logan Stewart came in the 5th and closed the door with 3 strong innings giving up no runs on no hits and striking out 2.
