Junior Terriers Earn Second Win On Sunday
The junior squad split the second of two double headers on the weekend against the Oakville Royals 18u team. Tobey Handley had another excellent day at the plate reaching base three times and scoring twice. He reached base in the first on an error and quickly made it to third on two short passed balls. Aaron Loder drove him in on a single for the first run in the 5-3 victory. In the third inning Handley and Loder walked, and then advanced on Averey Bet-Payumo’s ground ball to the left side.

Handley scored on a ground ball hit by Nick Dimpfel and Loder scored on a passed ball. In the sixth inning Robert Grilli led off with a double and scored on a single by Handley. Handley stole second, advanced to third on Aaron Loder’s fly ball to the outfield and scored on a pinch hit single by Hunter Galloway. TJ Baker threw three strong innings in relief for the win. The Terriers 17u team play the Royals 17u squad in a four games series next weekend.
