Submitted By Dan Thompson on Saturday, July 2, 2011
The SR Terriers secured their first championship of the summer in dramatic fashion on Sunday. Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh Brian Doran and David Head would work back to back walks setting the stage for Nathan Desouza's walk off three run homer to right, and a 3-2 victory.
Right hander Aaron Bain went the distance for the win. He scattered just four hits.
The Terriers rounded out the Canada Day Classic with a perfect 6-0 record.
