17U Terriers Claim Championship Crown In Nashville!
Nashville, TN - The Terriers won the Sandlott (Select, Amateur, National, Developmental, League, Of Travel Teams) 17u World Series Championship Sunday afternoon in Music City USA! Cal Quantrill had the ball and would go the distance for a complete game 2-0 shutout victory over the Connecticut Tides. Cal struck out 9, in what was an outstanding display of power, location and change of speeds. The very intense final was scoreless into the bottom of the sixth when the Terriers scored two runs.

Geoffrey Seto led the inning off with a double to left. Robert Grilli was in next and was asked to bunt. He got it down the third base line. The Tides pitcher threw the ball away into left, allowing Seto to score. Grilli would go to third on the play and then score on an Aaron Loder sac fly to right field. The Tides went quietly in the seventh. Congratulations to Manager Rick Johnston and his coaching staff, Paul Quantrill, Tom Colangelo and Peter Angelow.
