Terriers Notch Another Victory In Arizona
Submitted By Dan Thompson on Thursday, October 13, 2011
Peoria, AZ - The Terriers came away with a 6-1 win Friday night against the Orioles Scout Team from California. Armed with a fastball that lit scouts radar guns up at 91mph, Dayton Dawe mowed down hitter after hitter through four innings of work. Dayton would allow just one hit to record the win. The Terriers struck early with two runs in the top of the first. Toby Handley lead the game off with a single then advanced to third on a double to right field by Christian Fearon.

Both would eventually score. Red hot Nick Dimpfel picked up two RBIs in the second with a shot to left center field, scoring Jon Palumbo and Cal Quantrill who had both walked. Jon would then come on to pitch in relief of Dawe for the final three innings. The Terriers rounded out the scoring in the top of the seventh. Handley and Fearon were at it again, setting the table for RBI singles by Zack Sardellitti and Bruce Yari. Robert Grilli had an excellent game at shortstop counting five assists. He would also chip in with two singles. Games continue through Sunday.
