Alumni Linseman Named Maac Pitcher Of The Week
Submitted By Dan Thompson on Sunday, March 4, 2012
Congratulations to Terrier alumni LHP Nathan Linseman who was named the NCAA D1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. Linseman earned both victories for the Griffs, as they split a four game series at Duke University. Nathan also picked up the win on Friday when Canisius downed LIU 8-5. In his 2 years with the Terriers Nathan was named Pitcher of the Week on several occasions. He was also an integral part of numerous championships .

Linseman was a member of the Ontario Youth team in 2007 and Canada's Junior National Team in 2008. He could always be counted on for a quality start and we wish him continued success with his college career. Other college highlights... * Freshman Mattingly Romanin was 1-2 (double) with an RBI in his college debut versus Texas Southern * Brian Doran had 3 RBI versus Florida A+M, however the Maine Black Bears dropped the contest 5-3. Doran also had hits on Saturday and Sunday vs #8 Florida State. He is hitting .316 so far on the season. * Right hander Tavis Bruce had his third dominant performance in a row going 7 innings, 0 ER, 4 hits, 8 Ks and only one walk in a 3-1 UBC victory over Menlo College (CA). * Jas Rakkar gave the Stony Brook Seawolves 3.2 innings of quality work on Sunday ( 0 ER), however East Carolina prevailed 4-3. * Catcher Brent Mitchell was 1-2 with an RBI for the South Alabama Jaguars in a hard fought 8-7 loss to Samford University (AL)
