16'S Close Out Spring Training With Two More Wins
Lake Vista, FL - The sophomore Terriers wrapped up a successful week of spring training baseball with a pair of victories over the WI Baseball Academy (FL). In a 16-6 win on Thursday, Brendan Fox got the start, went three innings and was relieved by Jacob Kreiger- Hughes who hurled four innings of shutout ball, needing only 44 pitches. Stephen Clewer lead the way offensively with a 3-3 game and two runs scored.

Matthew Plut had two hits including a triple to go along with two runs scored and two RBI. Garrett Jewell, Nav Cheema and Luke Tevlin rounded out the 18 hit attack with two hits each. Nav had four RBI. The final game of the trip was a lot closer, but the Terriers managed to eak out a 9-7 win. Ryan Blankers and Nav Cheema combined the pitching efforts through seven innings. The game was also highlighted by excellent defensive plays courtesy of Matthew Plut and Paul Gibson. Michael Moffatt had a three hit performance in this one, including two RBI. Kristian Trunzer, and Brandon Paul had two hits each, while Kurt DeKock, Evan Hanoun, Jacob Kreiger and Andrew Lonsdale all chipped in with one.
