Toby Handley's 5-5 Day Leads Srs To Victory In Final Spring Training Game

Petersburg, FL - Terriers center fielder Toby Handley capped off an incredible week in Florida with a five hit performance versus the University of Tampa B team. The SR Terriers erupted for 22 hits and came away with a 16-5 win in the nine inning contest. Dayton Dawe, Cal Quantrill, Mike Morley, Jeff Baggaley, TJ Baker and Brock Beirness all wrapped up their spring break trip on the mound with solid performances. Middle infielders Robert Grilli and Turner Spears were outstanding in this game and all week, turning several double plays, including three in this tilt. The Terriers scored single runs in the first three innings of the game, then five in the fifth, four in the seventh and four more in the top of the ninth. Here is the rundown on the offense: Toby Handley 5-5, 3RS, 3RBI, SB Geoff Seto 1B,1B,2RBI,RS Aaron Loder 1B,2B,3RBI,RS Zach Sardellitti 1B,2B,3RBI,RS Jon Palumbo 1B,RS Travis Seabrooke HBP, 1B,RBI,RS Bruce Yari 2B, BB,RBI,RS Turner Spears 2B,RBI,RS Robert Grilli 1B,1B,BB,RS Pat Coughlin 1B,1B,2RS,RBI Zack Choy 1B,1B,1B, 2RS,RBI The Terriers return home Saturday and will resume indoor workouts. The SRs will play an early season college tournament at Monroe College in Rochester on April 14th+15th.
