Submitted By Dan Thompson on Monday, August 13, 2012
Long Island, NY Nick Wideman lead the charge with four RBIs in an 8-4 Terriers victory on Tuesday at Baseball Heaven in Long Island NY. Nick had two RBI doubles in both the fourth and sixth innings. Righthander Will Prowse kept the Orioles at bay for four innings until the offense could get on track. Will struck out seven, walked two, but did not allow a hit. He left the game with a 4-0 lead on runs scored by Paul Gibson, Joel Brophy, Nick Wideman and Kristian Trunzer.

Kristian also had a double and two RBIs in the contest. Prowse would be relieved by Kevin Lucas who struck out the side in the fifth. TJ Baker (pictured) and Andrew Lonsdale threw the sixth and seventh innings and were rewarded with four more runs of support on hits by Garrett Jewel, Joel Brophy, Paul Gibson and Evan Hanoun. The Terriers only loss of the tournament came against the LI Titans, who won the pool and will advance.
