Blue Downs Gold To Open Brawl
The 16u Terriers Blue opened the fifth annual Brawl in the Fall tournament with a 5-1 win over 16u Terriers Gold. This was the first game ever played at the Terriers new home field in Oakville. Milton Palomino got Blue on the scoreboard when he opened the bottom of the first with a triple that went to the fence in center field.

He later scored on an RBI fielders choice by Drew Dickerson. Dalton Harvey got the start on the mound and went three strong innings, not allowing a hit to the Gold batters. He struck out three and walked two. He was staked to a 3-0 lead after two innings after Stefan Markovic and Ricardo Marin scored. They had both singled. Sharan Rasan and Matthew Vollmer picked up the RBIs. Mason Falbo got Gold on the board in the top of the fourth after he doubled, advanced to third on a Jacob Sims fielders choice, then crossed on Matthew Brillert's RBI. Lefty Drew Valade came on in the fourth for Terriers Blue, tossing two innings before giving way to Elliott Curtis, who closed out the game. Terriers Blue tacked on insurance runs in the fifth and sixth when Palomino and Makovic scored to round out the 5-1 victory. The tournament continues through Sunday.
