Junior National Team Update...
Canada's Junior National Team is currently at their winter home in Orlando, wrapping up spring training. They share the excellent facilities with the Atlanta Braves at Wide World of Sports in the Disney Complex. The eight day trip consists of morning work outs, followed by afternoon games versus MLB extended spring training rosters. On Wednesday Terriers RHP Cal Quantrill got the start against the Washington Nationals.

Cal tossed three shutout, allowing just one hit. He cruised through three innings of work, and faced only ten batters. Terriers LHP Travis Seabrooke followed in the fourth and continued to shut down the Nationals. Although they scored in the fifth, Travis was outstanding again in a scoreless sixth to close out his day. Team Canada has a daunting schedule in front of them for the balance of the spring and summer. They will make their annual trip to the Dominican Republic in May where they will go head to head with the MLB pro academies on the island. July brings a trek through New England and then the Junior Nats head overseas to Australia. They will eventually wrap up their year at the World Championship in Taichung Taiwan.
