Toby Handley's Double Paces Nats
Canada's Junior National Team is currently on their annual spring tour of the Dominican Republic. The Terriers are proud to have three players donning the maple leaf that is competing against the island's Summer League Pro Academies. Yesterday in San Pedro de Macoris Toby Handley's clutch two out, two RBI double lead the Nats to a 4-3 victory over the Brewers. Toby's hit was part of a four run first inning rally.

Those four runs would be all starting pitcher Cal Quantrill would need to notch the win. Cal gave his team five solid innings on the mound, striking out six along the way. In one stretch he retired eleven Brewer hitters in a row. Team Canada held their ground the rest of the way, aided by Handley's outstanding defense in the outfield. The tour continues through May 30th. Lefty Travis Seabrooke will pitch tomorrow against the Tigers, while Quantrill will go again Thursday versus an MLB Prospect team in Santo Domingo.
