Terriers Battle Back For Win In Nj
The 17u Terriers battled back from a 8-3 deficit on Wednesday at the Blue Chip Prospects East Coast Championships.

The final score would be 9-8, after a two run rally in the bottom of the seventh toppled the NJ Royals. Trailing 3-0 after a half inning, the Terriers scratched for one run when Grant Okawa crossed on a Shane Clarke RBI fielders choice. The Royals scored three more in the second for what looked like a commanding 6-1 lead. The gap was closed to 6-3 after three innings of play when Elliott Curtis and Zarley Cina crossed after both had singled. New Jersey tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth, but Cina sparked a four run Terrier rally in the bottom half of the inning when he lead off with a double. Shane Clarke, James McBride, Sharan Rasan and Matt Vollmer also all had hits in the inning. Entering the final inning of play and trailing 8-7, three consecutive singles by Elliott Curtis, Zarley Cina and Mason Falbo would load the bases. Curtis tied the game on Shane Clarke's third RBI of the game, then Cina scored the winning run on Milton Palomino's walk off hit to right. Tyler Valiquette got credit for the win on the mound.
