Alumni Update - Ian Choy
Ian Choy is arguably the best hitter to ever wear a Terriers uniform.

He was consistent, combining power and average and could always be relied upon to come through with a clutch RBI when the game was on the line. He quietly lead the team both on and off the field with a maturity well beyond his years. Ian wrapped up his time with the Terriers after the summer of 2006 with a World Series championship ring, then began his brilliant NCAA college career with the Canisius Golden Griffins. In his first year at Canisius Ian was named the schools first ever MAAC Conference Rookie of the Year. He was also named as a Louisville Slugger Freshman All- American and second-team All-Freshman by Ping! Baseball. Choy would go on to be named to the All- MAAC Team three more times. He owns a career .348 BA, a .456 OBP and is still the all time hits leader at Canisius with 256. Ian's accomplishments were not just limited to his on field heroics. Academic honors include four MAAC All- Academic Team Awards, ESPN The Magazine First Team All- District and All- American Academic Awards, Lowe's SR Class Award nominee and was the 2010 Canisius Presidential Scholar Athlete. Ian graduated with a BA in Economics with a concentration in Finance. He played one year of professional baseball in Australia for the Canberra Cavalry and is currently employed as a risk analyst for the TD Bank.
