17U Terriers Down South Florida Clippers
The Junior Terriers defeated the South Florida Clippers in dramatic fashion, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

After falling behind 2-0 in the fourth, Konar Smith started the rally in the sixth with a pinch hit single up the middle. Ashton Roy then reached on a fielder’s choice. Shane Clarke followed by scorching a ball to the third baseman who couldn’t handle it, placing runners on first and second before Mason Falbo came on to pinch hit, singling and scoring Roy from second base. Matt Vollmer dealt the big blow of the inning by doubling down the left field line scoring both Clarke and Falbo. Tyler Riehl started on the mound throwing four strong innings allowing two runs, while striking out three. Riehl ran into trouble in the fourth but was able to pitch himself out of a bases loaded jam. Kyle Scobel shut the door in the final three innings as the Clippers could not muster a hit or a run against the hard throwing right hander.
