Saturday Sweep For 16S
The 16u Terriers came away with a pair of victories on Saturday in Richmond Hill.

The competition was the Ontario Cardinals in 8-4 and 8-2 Terrier victories. JacOb Martins lead the way offensively in game one with a 3 for 3 game. He scored three runs and also had an RBI. Willie Hotta had two hits, an RBI and scored twice. Matthew Correia rounded out the attack with a double and two RBI. On the mound Evan Lawrence put in five innings of work then turned the ball over to Ryan Giberson who got credit for the win. Peter Reichling picked up the save in what was a come from behind hard fought win for the Terriers. Lefthander Willie Hotta cruised through five innings in game two. He struck out seven Cardinal hitters before giving way to Alex Wall who struck out three in the final two innings. Jack Omstead (3B,3B, 2RS, 3RBI), Jacob Martins (1B, 2B, RBI) and Peter Reichling (2B, 1B) each had two hits in the 8-2 victory. The 16u Terriers are now 8-0 in spring league play.
