Cal Quantrill Top Pac-12 Freshman
Congratulations to Terriers alumnus Cal Quantrill who was named the Freshman of the Year by the PAC-12 Conference. Cal lead the Stanford Cardinal pitching staff in strike outs and innings pitched. Cal had a 2.92 ERA and .224 opposing batting average that both rank in the top 11 in the league. He tossed one complete-game shutout this season while striking out 84 in 92.1 innings of work. Cal was the first freshman pitcher to start for Stanford on opening day since Mike Mussina.

Quantrill was also named to the All- Conference Team along with four other Stanford team mates. The Cardinal will begin the NCAA Regional tournament this weekend in Bloomington, IN. Best of luck Cal, and continued success.
