Alumni Toby Handley Stars In Necbl
Toby Handley had an outstanding summer with the Mystic Schooners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. In 33 games Toby finished third in the league with a. 351 batting average. He had 47 hits (2nd), 28 runs scored (1st) , 11 doubles (1st), 15 stolen bases and 16 RBI's. He also smacked a homer and was named as a starter to the League's All- Star Game.
In his final game this past weekend Toby went 3-4 with a double, two singles an RBI and a run scored.
He was named Player of the Game.
In his three year career with the Terriers Toby was a standout. He was an excellent lead off hitter and one of the best outfielders to ever come through the program. He acquired a scholarship to Stony Brook University along with playing for Canada's Junior National Team.
