Cal Quantrill fired six shutout innings en route to a 2-0 Stanford victory on Friday night in Fullerton California. Cal struck out seven and allowed just three hits. He cruised through the Cal State Fullerton lineup combining his low- 90s fastball‎ with a high swing- through rate on his off-speed pitches. Cal leads the Cardinal pitching staff in almost every statistic. So far this season he has thirteen strike outs, has allowed just nine hits and one earned run.

Opponents are hitting just .214 and his ERA is 0.77 In the coming weeks Quantrill goes up against Rice University in Houston, Texas before facing the Texas Longhorns at home.
