Spring Training Update - Srs Continue To Roll In Florida
The SR Terriers counted their fifth win of the spring in West Palm Beach on Wednesday afternoon. Nathan Lewko had the decisive blow to the left center field gap in the top of the fifth and the Terriers went on to defeat Cushing Academy (MA) 5-3. Duncan Jakubowski, (2 IP)Kyle Scobel ( 3 IP)and Christian Lazar (2 IP) combined on the mound to scatter 7 hits.‎ The game was 0-0 into the top of the fourth when the Terriers scratched for a run.

Andrew Dickerson lead off with a single, went to second on a Nathan Lewko single‎, both advanced on a wild pitch, then Dickerson scored on Willie Hotta's fielder's choice. The Terriers big rally came in the fifth. After Elliott Curtis singled, stole second and scored, Grant Okawa, Jake Sims and Andrew Dickerson all reached, setting the stage for Nathan Lewko's three run double and a 5-0 lead. Cushing scored two runs in their half of the inning‎, then one more in the seventh but that is as close as they would come. All four Terriers teams wrap up their spring training schedules tonight before a flight home on Thursday.
