16U Open Spring With Sweep
The 16u Terriers won their opener 3-2 over the Ontario Prospects on Saturday.

The key to victory was outstanding pitching from Ben Abram and Malkolm Barrett. Ben went five innings before handing the ball over to Barrett for the sixth and seventh. First baseman Tyrus Smith put the Terriers in front 1-0 in the bottom of the third when he hit a towering solo homer over the fence in right field. The lead held until the fifth when the Prospects scored two and went ahead 2-1. In the Terriers sixth Brandon Jones lead off with a single and then came all the way around to score on a Carter Seabrooke RBI triple to the gap in left center.‎ Carter then crossed for what would be the game winning run on a single up the middle by Samuel Knott. Game two was not as close. The Terriers smacked nine hits in an 11-6 win. Zachary Rachar, Gregersen Wells and Samuel Knott all had two hits and multiple RBIs while Ryan MacIsaac, Carter Seabrooke and Jordan Rapier had one each. Right-hander Ethan Seaver put in a strong five innings on the mound and got credit for the win. In 18u action the Terriers snuck by the Yankees with 3-1 and 5-4 victories.
