Juniors Open Season With Two Wins & A Tie
Submitted By Dan Thompson on Tuesday, May 5, 2015
In Saturday’s opening game of the Fergy Jenkins League, Alex Wall threw a one hit complete game striking out nine Bulletproof Prospects.

The only run allowed was unearned. The game ended in a 1-1 tie as Matt Vollmer singled in the tying run in the top of the seventh inning with two out. Jeremy Veilleux contributed to the offensive cause with a single and a double going 2-3 for the game. Game two served up more offence as the Junior Terriers scored three runs in each of the first two innings going on to win their first game of the new season with an 8-5 victory. Reid Carty, Jacob Martins, Jack Omstead, Regan Manley, Matt Vollmer and Cameron Bonanno all contributed to the win with singles, while Ethan Jodouin led the team with two RBI. Starter Matthew Brillert threw four strong innings to garner the win. Returning home on Sunday, the Terriers breezed to a 10-0 win. The offensive barrage started in the first inning as no less than seven Terriers crossed the plate. Reid Carty, Jacob Martins and Justin Wamboldt led the offence as Carty had two hits and two RBI, Martins had two hits while Wamboldt had two hits including a double with bases loaded and three RBI. Others that contributed with hits were Regan Manley, Ethan Jodouin, Joey Moher and Brandon Nieva. Peter Reichling started the game and threw four innings for the win allowing only five hits and striking out five Prospect batters.
