Juniors Complete Weekend Sweep
The Terriers 17u squad had a perfect 4-0 weekend taking double headers from the Ontario Cardinals on Saturday and two more from the Ontario Athletics on Sunday. After falling behind 6-0 in the opening inning of game one, the Terriers battled back scoring one in their half of the second inning on a mammoth home run by Ethan Jodouin, three more in the fourth and three more in the sixth to complete the comeback.

Jodouin added a triple in the sixth inning. Justin Wamboldt had two hits including a triple along with Jacob Martins who had two hits of his own including a double. Regan Manley, Jack Omstead and Joey Moher all contributed to the nine hit attack each with singles. Matthew Brillert threw six scoreless innings in relief to garner the win. Alex Wall pitched to one batter in the seventh for his first save of the year. Game two versus the Cardinals was a pitcher’s duel as the Terriers scored the lone run of the game in the third inning for the 1-0 win. Regan Manley was hit by a pitch, stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on a sacrifice fly by Cameron Mahler. Pitchers Ryan Giberson, Caleb Jolkowski and Austin Skelhorn each gave up one hit while striking out eight Cardinals. Jolkowski got the win and Skelhorn the save. On Sunday, the Terriers won both games in the bottom of the seventh. After Alex Wall threw seven shutout innings allowing just three hits and striking out nine Ontario Athletics that set the stage for a dramatic win in the final inning. With one out Ethan Jodouin singled and was pinch run for by Cameron Bonanno. Joey Moher then scorched a double to the right center field gap and Bonanno scored all the way from first base for the 1-0 win. In game two a similar scenario took place in the bottom of the seventh. Trailing 3-2 Cameron Mahler started the inning with a walk and was pinch run for by Ryan Cuthbert. Cameron Bonanno then singled which was followed by a walk by Reid Carty to load the bases. Regan Manley singled to score Cuthbert which tied the game. With one out and the bases still loaded Justin Wamboldt singled to deep right field scoring Bonanno for the 4-3 win. Jack Omstead, Ethan Jodouin, and Brandon Nieva (double) also contributed with hits. Starter Joey Moher threw four strong innings followed by Austin Skelhorn who threw two and Caleb Jolkowski who finished the game in the seventh for the win. The Terriers 17u begin their rigorous summer travel schedule next weekend with stops in Syracuse, New York; Cincinnati, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee and Erie, Pennsylvania.
