Sam Turcotte Acquires Scholarship To Sbu
Submitted By Dan Thompson on Thursday, July 30, 2015
Terriers RHP Sam Turcotte has committed to Stony Brook University this past week.

Congratulations to the entire Turcotte family on this great achievement. Sam has spent countless hours at The Baseball Zone over the years working on his mechanics, delivery and pitch location. At 6'5" and a 90 MPH fast ball, Sam is an intimidat‎ing presence on the mound. He has dominated this entire year, mowing down competition on both sides of the border. He is a respectful young man, an excellent team mate and a pleasure to coach. The Seawolves are a powerhouse in the NCAA D1 America East Conference. They are the defending champions and have competed in the NCAA Tournament on several occasions. The program's greatest achievement came in 2012 when they won the America East, the NCAA regional, the NCAA Super Regional then went on to compete at the College World Series in Omaha. Besides his Terriers duties Sam also dons the red and white for our Junior National Team. He has competed in Orlando Florida versus extended spring MLB teams and has has pitched in the Dominican Republic ‎against the pro academies. Sam will be studying Sociology at Stony Brook.
