Terriers Out Duel Pirates
The SR Terriers got another outstanding pitching performance Saturday afternoon at the College of St.

Rose, this time from crafty lefty Willie Hotta en route to a 5-1 victory over the Rockland Pirates (NY). Willie went the distance, allowed only three hits and struck out six along the way. In the top of the second inning the Terriers put up a three spot with hits from Brandon Nieva,(RBI) Jack Anderson, Dreyden Sloat and Carter Seabrooke (2 RBIs). Reagan Manley made the score 4-0 in the top of the third after he drew a lead off walk, stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball then scored when Jacob Martins laced a ball to the gap in left center field. The Pirates would mount a threat in their half of the third. After already scoring a run, they loaded the bases for the clean up hitter who hit a fly ball to centerfielder Jack Omstead‎. Jack made the catch then threw a bullet to catcher Joe Tevlin for the inning ending double play. The Terriers picked up an insurance run in the sixth on a Tevlin RBI. Joe smoked a 1-1 pitch to left scoring Elliott Curtis who had singled and swiped second earlier in the inning. The tournament continues Sunday in Albany NY.
