Spring Training Update - Sr's Down South Florida Bandits
Spring Training continues at the Santaluces Baseball Complex in Lantana Florida for all four Terriers teams. On the heals of a couple of tough losses to Beisbol Honduras and the Florida Orioles the SRs got in the win column, trouncing the Bandits 7-1. Terriers pitchers were outstanding, lead by lefty Carter Seabrooke. Carter worked three innings and struck out three. He was relieved by Ryan Giberson who fired two innings, striking out two Bandit hitters.

Call up 16u righthander Jamal Armstrong closed out the win in the sixth and seventh with an impressive two innings against the older competition. Jamal had two strike outs and gave up just one base hit. Elliott Curtis led the offense with a double and a triple. Joe Tevlin and Jack Omstead each had a pair of hits, while Ethan Jodouin chipped in with one. The 16u Terriers dropped a pair against very stiff competition from Killian JV (6-3) and powerhouse Mater Lakes (7-2). Success in spring training is not measured by wins and losses however there was some great play from several players on the16u squad. In the game against Killian, Sebastian Santos threw four strong innings. Offensively Matt Kemp, Sawan Bhatnagar and Nick Parsons singled. George Tsiflikiotis and Pierce Montgomery ‎each singled and had an RBI. Evan Harrison, Kevin Millar and Sawan Bhatnagar all had good outings on the mound versus a loaded Mater Lakes lineup. Nick Parsons, Cameron Docking and Matthew Kemp knocked out hits for the Terriers in the contest. The 16s will wrap up their trip with games against the Florida Falcons and Team Ontario Monday and Tuesday.
