College Round Up... Week 4
*Terrier alunmi Geoff Seto had a monster game on the weekend leading the Niagara Purple Eagles to a 4-3 victory over Penn State. Geoff was 3-5 in the win and has raised his season average to. 281 with 18 hits and 11 runs scored. * Toby Handley lead the game off with a triple and the Stony Brook Seawolves went on to defeat Iona College 11-2 on Tuesday. The Seawolves started America East Conference play on the weekend and opened with a 15-10 win at UMBC.

Toby also had a hit in that game and has now reached base safely in all 17 games this season. * Infielder Marcus Dicenzo smacked a base hit for the University of West Alabama Tigers in their mid week victory over Miles College. The Tigers are 21-5 overall. Off the field Marcus recently received two prestigious honors. He achieved an additional academic scholarship for winning the Charles F Loveless Award for Proven Academic Success‎ in Languages and Literature and was also recognized for potential future success. Further, Marcus garnered an award for excellence in American History and was inducted into the Sigma Tau Delta International Honor Society. Terriers with Team Canada... Canada's Junior National Team has been in Florida for the past week competing with mixed spring lineups from the Jays, Phillies, Tigers, Yankees and Braves. Although the Braves came away with a 7-0 win on Wednesday JNT reliever Ben Abram was solid in relief over three innings of work as he tossed three scoreless frames without giving up a hit or a walk to go along with three strikeouts. Sam Turcotte also had a good outing earlier in the week ‎in a 6-2 loss to the Phillies. Sam was tagged for just one earned run in three innings on the mound. He had a strike out.
